Still looking for a cool Christmas gift for your best friend, mom, dad, boyfriend, girlfriend, ...? Don't worry I'm here to help you out! In this post I will be listing some food-related Christmas gifts that I've come accross recently or already own myself, to set you on the right track.
1. Philips Soup Maker
The first gift, that I really recommend to everyone is the Philips Soup Maker, I bought one myself this summer and not one day has gone by on which I didn't use it. With this soup maker everyone can make soup in 15 minutes, you don't have to be the ultimate kitchen queen/ king or master chef, you just choose your kind of soup (e.g. Broccoli), chop the vegetables in small pieces, add some herbs, a broth cube, water and that's it, easy like that. You can choose whether you want thin or thick soup and it even has a smoothie and compot function. This gift is more on the expensive side, but you can buy it for someone special that is worth spending the extra coin or split the bill with someone else. The Philips Soup maker will cost you around ā¬90, depending on where you buy it. My favourite soup to make with it is a Broccoli - Zucchini soup, I'll take half a Zucchini and a small broccoli "tree", I slice the Zucchini in slices of 1cm and put the small broccoli trees in it, on its own. I add some water a vegetable broth cube and some pepper and salt.
Tip: try to find the older version (see photo) as it is less expensive

2. EasyBlender
The second gift is something that I've seen pass by a lot recently and it looks really cool. If I didn't have a big smoothie maker yet at home, I would definitely put this on my Christmas wish list. It is the portable smoothie maker from the brand "EasyBlender" but many other brands have something similar too. You can charge the blender at home and bring it with you on the road. You can make smoothies, juices, proteĆÆn shakes or even baby food with it, so it's suitable for every type of person. The smoothie blender will cost you around ā¬30.
3. Sriracha Key Chain
Another cool gadget and perfect stocking filler is this Sriracha Key chain that you can find almost everywhere on the internet. It is the perfect gift for that person who needs something spicy on everything they eat, in this way they always have some Sriracha at their disposal to put on whatever they want. If you order this cute key chain via Amazon you'll spend around ā¬15. But the brand Sriracha2go sells it too at a price of +/- ā¬17 including a Huy Fong Sriracha bottle to fill your key chain(s).
4. Dash Mini Maker
The next gift is perfect if you know someone that is still in college/ university and who likes to cook easy and quick meals. This mini waffle maker is the easiest tool to use when making waffles, the only thing you have to worry about is not burning the waffles. You can even make paninis with this machine or hash browns, but these aren't a common dish in Belgium. On Amazon this "mini maker" is priced around ā¬15, but you can also find something similar at bol.com or another online website.
5. CheesePorn - Cutting Board
Another very cool gadget that would be the ultimate Christmas gift for every cheese lover is this cheesboard made by DOIY Design. It's very simple but still classy and it even includes 2 golden steel knives that look like cheese, what is there not to love? You can even use it on Christmas eve/ day already to serve the best cheese board you've ever seen, as dessert. It could be the perfect Christmas gift for friends or family that just moved into their first house/ apartment or any other person that adores cheese (boards). The Cheeseporn - cutting board costs a little less than ā¬50.
6. Automatic Pan Stirrer
This next gadget is, according to me, the best gadget ever made. You'll never have to worry about stirring sauce anymore to make sure it doesn't burn, while doing something else in the kitchen, because this gadget will do it for you. If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm talking about the automatic pan stirrer! The only thing you have to do is put the gadget in your pan with its legs, press the button, and let it do its work. Want to see how it works? Go check out the following video made by a famous british YouTuber Joe Sugg and his girlfriend Dianne Buswell, they test the automatic stirrer 9 minutes into the video. This amazing gadget will only cost you around ā¬23.
7. I Could Eat a Horse Measurer
The last gift, is another stocking filler that isn't only cute and funny but it can prevent food waste too. I assume that everyone, just like me, is the worst in guessing how much pasta to cook for 1 or 2 meals and always cooks way too much. Well, this gadget will help you get rid of all your worries, because it tells you exactly how much pasta you'll need to cook for; a tiny eater, a normal eater, a big eater or that person who has a hole in their stomach and can eat forever. You'll spend around ā¬10 for this "Pasta guesser"(that's how I call it).
TIP: It is currently on sale on the DOIY Design site for ā¬5
I hope this post helped you out with your Christmas gift ideas, and next week I'll be back again with a normal "restaurant review" post, so ...
