Pick and Mex is a Mexican street-food restaurant where you can eat burritos, tacos and quesedillas. You choose between the 3 above-mentioned options or you choose to go for a "plato" (bowl), you then make the decision between different topics and sauces to put inside the dish and BOOM, you're done.
I chose the vegetarion (hard) taco, filled with brown rice, cheese, gaucamole, lettuce, tomatoes and some sour cream on top (€7,50). My girlfriend took the soft tacos filled with chili con carne, white rice, brown beans, jalapenos, guacamole, corn, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and salsa verde (mild spicy) with sour cream on top (€8,50).
It was my first time trying tacos and boy oh boy, what a mess we both created. Both types of taco are equally as "clumsy" to eat, but putting that aside, I actually enjoyed them and I was really happy that I finally had me some tacos.
I like the concept of choosing what's inside my taco and the prices are also very fair if you know you'll get 3 tacos for it. It was a really fun experience and I will definitely return to pick & mex whenever I'm in the mood for another taco again.
A bientôt!
