During lockdown it isn't always easy to stay in touch with your friends as we can't go out for dinner or even drinks. So my sister, myself and our best friend decided to come together for some quality time over some delicious tapas from Ibiza Bouff.

Ibiza bouff is a cozy restaurant located in the city centre of Hasselt, right at the city hall, where you can take yourself back to the island of Ibiza through amazing tapa dishes. Besides preparing delicious food they also help you with booking your trip to Ibiza. They rent out villas, casas and fincas and they even plan your whole trip if you want to, from boat trips to VIP clubbing.

Unfortunately, due to the lockdown, we weren't able to physically eat at the restaurant, but it still felt a bit like Ibiza at our dining table that night. We ordered 2 portions of everything as we were supposed to be with 4 people (1 friend couldn't come), to share. Our order consisted of:

- Patatas bravas

- Filete de lubina con salsa verde

- Croquetas caseras (mix of; Iberico, Chorizo and manchego- spinach)

- Pimientos del padron

- Abondigas caseras

- Pan con aioli, tomate y aceitunas

- Ensalata mixta

- Chipirones al ajilo

- Costillas de cerdo Iberico marinadas

The food already smelled delicious when we picked it up, we couldn't wait to dive in. All dishes we're very well prepared. My personal favourites were the patatas bravas (as always) and also the Pimientos (green peppers) were delicious, with a good amount of salt, the way I prefer it. My sister's favourite was the "Filete de lubina" which is seabass and our friend was totally in love with the Costillas (ribs). She couldn't stop talking about how good these ribs were and even convinced her dad to eat some too.

The Chipirones (baby squid) weren't very liked by either my sister nor our friend. There was some tuna in this dish, even though this wasn't mentioned on the menu, and the taste of the tuna was just too overpowering, what we didn't like that much.

The croquette dish was also really good, but we thought it was a bit odd that the amount of croquettes wasn't spread evenly. We had 5 croquettes filled with the manchego and spinach and only 1 with Iberico ham and 2 with Chorizo. We would have loved to have more of the ones with meat.

The abondigas (meatballs) were really good too. The salad was very fresh , with a very good-tasting oil/ vinegar over it.

Overall, the dishes were really good and I am definitely going to visit Ibiza bouff once the restaurants are open again, to get the full experience.

A bientƓt!

Bisous
