To celebrate my graduation, my parents, sister and I went to Jurgen's Eetboetiek in Hasselt. At Jurgen's eetboetiek you can choose to eat a 3, 4 or 5-course dinner, even though it states on their site that you can also have a 2-course meal.
They offer both fish and meat dishes but are open to adaptations whenever a customer has special needs, such as me (Vegetarian). When we arrived we got a small starter from the house which was a vitello tonnato. When I mentioned I was a vegetarian they immediately switched my plate and gave my a substitution dish.
We all went for the 3-course meal (ā¬39). My mom and Sister went for the starter with fish; Catfish with avocado, tikka masala and other toppings. My dad went for the meat which was a ravioli filled with artichoke topped of with bacon and several vegetables. The chef made a special starter for me which consisted of a coeur de boeuf tomato topped of with the same toppings as the fish dish.
For our main course my mom, dad and sister all went for the fish which was cod fillet, this time, with Basmati rice, curry and turmeric. For me they made the same ravioli as the starter dish, filled with artichoke and topped it of with eggplant and zucchini.
Laslty, for our dessert we got red fruits with an espuma of mascarpone with rum, topped of with "Speculoos" crumbles and some freshly made vanilla ice cream on the side.
Every single dish was amazing, especially the dessert and the main dish, for me. My family enjoyed their meals as well, and were very enthusiastic about our visit.
Jurgen's eetboetiek is a very good restaurant and I would highly recommend it, especially when you have something special to celebrate.
A bientƓt!
