Osteria Moretti is a restaurant situated in the middle of the city center of Hasselt where you can either go for lunch or have a fancy dinner at night. I had only been here once before, for dinner (you can read all about it in this blogpost) but wanted to check out their lunch menu as well. So I did, I invited my best friend, who also loves food, to join me for lunch.

We were seated at "the bar" where you can directly look into the kitchen where the chef prepares all his delicious meals. The atmosphere at Osteria Moretti is very cosy and more on the fancy side, though the prices of their meals are not that expensive if you ask me.

I ordered a simple pasta pomodoro (€15,50) and my friend went for a caprese salad (€15,50). Both meals were delicious, to me there is nothing better than a perfect pasta pomodoro with some parmezan cheese. We both enjoyed the dishes and the portions were even big enough to ask for a doggy bag, which is also something I like.

The lunch menu is rather on the small side, though I do think that everyone can find something to their liking. There are 2 types of salad, 2 pastas and 2 dishes made with focaccia bread. There are also multiple starters that cost around €6.

We enjoyed our visit to Osteria Moretti and would definitely go back again, especially for the delicious pasta pomodoro 😉.

A bientôt!

@0steria Moretti-we had dinner there. I agree the dishes are delicious but our bill was 196€ rather expensive for a table for 2 without wine and next to our meal only an aperitif, no dessert but yes to coffee.
