As you may have read in one of my previous posts about Babbelut in Ghent; back in February, 5 of my friends and I went to Ghent to have a small city trip. For lunch we went to Babbelut to grab a quick bite and for dinner we ended up at Godot. Godot is a restaurant where you can grab lunch or dinner at a pretty decent price. On their menu they offer several pastas, some bruschettas, fish and meat dishes and vegetarian options too.

Since Autumn 2020 they started with a Dinner Menu, which allows you to have a starter, a main dish and some coffee or tea for only €29,90 from Monday till Thursday. So ofcourse, we couldn't turn down this offer. For my starter I went for the Grilled courgette with avocado and parmesan (€14). The rest of my company chose; Scampi Diabolique (€14) and Shrimp Croquettes (€14). As a main dish I ordered Linguine with Pesto (€14) and my friends ordered; Ravioli with Spinash, Ricotta and Tomatoes (€16), Belgian Stew (€21,90) and Freshly made Fishsticks (€21,9).

My starter was really well presented and very delicious too, but the pasta with pesto lacked a lot of flavour; it was tasteless and I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to make it taste better. The ravioli though, that my friend ordered, was DELICIOUS, I had a bite of it and couldn't stop eating after that, even though I was already full (FYI: my friend was already done eating, I didn't steal her food). The rest of my friends also really enjoyed every meal, so I guess I just made the wrong decision by picking the linguine.

I will definitely return to this restaurant whenever I am in Ghent again, as I loved the idea of paying €30 for 2 meals and a coffee and besides the pesto dish, everything was super yummy.

A bientôt!

Bisous

The prices mentioned in this post are the prices you would normally pay for that specific dish if you wouldn't choose for the dinner menu of €30.
