Last week I went on a small adventure in Leuven with some of my new classmates to get to know the city of Leuven. We walked around to find some hidden spots that show the beauty of this small city. We went to places such as the "Groot Begijnhof" and the Dijlenpark, but also went out for lunch, because you can't really see a city without checking out its food.

We went to Leo Pancakes which is located near the Vismarkt and sat down at their outdoor seating area, as there wasn't any space left on the inside. We ordered ourselves some pancakes and bagels while we were getting to know each other a bit better.

We ordered the following dishes:

- Blueberry pancakes with coconut powder and maple syrup (€7,80)

- "Chocolate Drops" pancakes with banana, strawberry and dark chocolate sauce (€9,80)

- "The Bagel" with egg, bacon, cheddar, fresh avocado, tomato and lettuce (€9,80)

- A vegan bagel with grilled eggplant, grilled zucchini, fresh avocado, rocket, tomato, cucumber, hummus and tahini (€10)

All 4 dishes looked absolutely delicious when they arrived at our table, I was ready to devour the entire thing. The vegan bagel was my own order and I must say that I made the perfect choice. I loved the combination of both hot and cold vegetables and the different tastes of them together. It was a very big bagel to be fair, so I wasn't able to finish it by only 2-3 bites, unfortunately.

"The Bagel" also looked suuuuuuuper yummy, I think my mouth even started to water a bit when I looked at it. This one too, was a big and heavy bagel but both people that ordered it were able to finish it, and enjoyed every bite of it.

Moving on to the pancakes; they both looked and tasted delicious too. To be fair the "Chocolate Drops" pancakes looked very intimidating to me. I already felt the carbs in my body just from looking at it. Though, they were really good and the person that ordered them was able to finish it, even though she was struggling a bit at the end. I think it is quite an achievement to be able to finish such a dish, because it is just calories on calories on calories on even more calories. So this is my way of saying "RESPECT" to all people eating these type of pancakes.

Last, but ofcourse not least are the blueberry pancakes. "The perfect dish" according to the person who ate them. The pancakes on their own were already very good as they had some type of blueberry jam on the inside. It is the ideal dish if you are craving some pancakes but don't want to feel as if you are eating loads of chocolate and/or fruit.

I think Leo Pancakes is the perfect lunch spot to go to with some friends to chit chat over some delicious food. It could also be fun to go in the late afternoon to share some pancakes with your friend so you don't have to devour them on your own.

A bientƓt!

Bisous
